This is the last day that people who are eligible for or enrolled in Medicare can join a Part D Prescription Drug Plan without incurring a penalty, unless they qualify for an exception. Finally, on this day, the existing Medicare-approved Drug Discount Card Program ends..06/30/2006
This is the last day people who have already enrolled in a plan can switch to a new plan that they feel will better suit their needs.You can enroll in MedicareRx Gold even if you have another company provide your medicare supplement, however you must be careful to check that your medicare supplement does not already offer a prescription benefit. If your current medicare supplement has a prescription benefit you could be purchasing double coverage.

You can buy the MedicareRx Gold even if you don't have a Blue Cross Medicare Supplement.
